The ground improvement of Hangzhou Bay Binhai New Area was filled hill-skin stone. After our techniques were used in the ground treatment Phase I of 900,000 m², the owner’s website reported: “It can save 160 million yuan in cost, and save 500,000 tons of stone, it plays a benchmark role especially for the surrounding area”. The construction area of Phase II-III was more than 2 million m². Our techniques would continue to be used in the subsequent projects.

High Vacuum Densification Method(HVDM) was introduced to Hebei Caofeidian Industrial Park. Many construction sites of several hundreds of hectares, including tens of major roads, coal docks, railways, logistics, etc, were treated by using HVDM, thus saving billions of construction funds. On Feb. 15, 2009, CCTV News reported, the Innovative High Vacuum Densification Method(HVDM) Technique for soft ground improvement can solve the problem of soft ground reinforcement in reclamation engineering, save one-third of the cost and shorten the construction period by half compared with the traditional construction method.

Suzhou Industrial Park has a construction area of 1.3 million m². Through the integrated contracting mode of consultation, construction and design, the bearing capacity of foundation soil was significantly improved after construction, and the ultimate bearing capacity of foundation reached 260kpa.

The application area of the national key Jiaozhou Peninsula Industrial Zone (Qingdao High-tech Zone, Shibei District, Huangdao District, Jiaozhou Development Zone, Jiaonan District) and Qingdao Large Oil Refinery exceeded 4 million m², saving hundreds of millions of yuan in cost and hundreds of thousands of tons of cement. The technique will continue to be used in subsequent projects.

It is an important project in the 2030 National Long-term Plan of Abu Dhabi. The owner is a well-known local investment and development enterprise. Our company has undertaken the design, construction and testing of soft ground improvement of the project.

The ground of 260,000 m² warehouse and road was treated with different control parameters of HVDM. The cost was saved by more than 30%, and the construction period was 90 days, thus meeting the design requirements after testing.

Invested by Formosa Plastics Group with 22 billion US dollars, it is located in Ha Tinh Province, Vietnam. Geoharbour conducted overall consultation on the original scheme for ground treatment of hydraulic fill. After readjusting the scheme, the owner estimated that the cost would be saved by 150 million US dollars. The general contracting project of ground treatment construction design has been completed, with an area of more than 10 million m².

The Egyptian National Military Engineering Department reclaimed about 2 million hectares of land in Hammam city (from West Nubriya to Al-Khairi) for soft ground treatment. This  is the first project of Geoharbour to enter the Egyptian market.
