With its low cost and short construction period, especially in the seven comparative test schemes, it successfully applied with the quality advantage of five first in six technical indicators. Compared with the original runway No. 1, it saved 1.74 million cubic stones and nearly 100 million yuan of construction funds, and greatly shortened the construction period (the original 16 months was shortened to 6 months). After more than one year of use, it was identified by experts organized by Shanghai Science and Technology Commission as “the first in China, far beyond the design standard” and won the National Municipal Gold Medal, with No.3 and No.4 runways and the large commercial aircraft projects continued to be used.

T5 Terminal of Changi International Airport covers an area of about 1,080 hectares, with the soft foundation of some areas of the project up to 60m deep.
